The edited down episode 2! This one is about bootleg/stolen Half-Life 1 maps and mods, and was a nightmare to finish. With a tornado interrupting the show, a second day of filming being needed, forgetting to locally record each audio source, it's a miracle the episode ended up as good as it did.

This is a final edit of the YouTube version of the Passionate Gamer Show. On Twitch, it's a live, interactive experience. On YouTube, we take that 3 to 4 hour show, and edit it down to around 45 minutes, and edit in pre-recorded segments, being previews of upcoming games (always games from the 90s), reviews of games (being modern retro throwback titles), and other concepts we've yet to attempt.

This video will be recorded to tape and ripped back off for the added realism of being a forgotten artifact from the late 90s for YouTube, but before we do that, I wanted the supporters of this project to see it.

NOW THE SHOW CAN LIVE. Pre-recorded segments were the last piece of the puzzle, and while I didn't continue doing the show after this, I truly felt that I had gotten the format to exactly where I wanted it. Real life took over from here, I got married, had a death in the family, went on my honeymoon and moved into a house. It's taken until now to be able to get the show back on track, but the bones created here were what I was looking for the entire time.

THE BIRTH OF MICHAEL, the talking robot, Michael-Serf Samuels, the talking robot, was the thing the show, in my opinion, was missing. A TTS that is made to feel like a robot controlled by the audience and treated like a character. I love him.

Kali was an old program used to emulate IPX multiplayer DOS games, such as DOOM, over TCP/IP. It still technically works, but it's nearly impossible to use, as you will see.

This was an interesting experiment, even if I felt it didn't do as well as I hoped. We played the leaked 0.52 Alpha build of Half-Life, with the story beat that the magazine had preview discs laying around from previous issues, and we were just exploring it as fun insight.

After nearly six months of retooling and experimenting with the format, I returned with Half-Life. Only this time, the previous "lore" was reset, and the show was back at square one. Here, I'm playing Half-Life "for the first time." I was told that it was better than my beloved Duke 3D, and I had to see it for myself. This was working, as I was focusing more on the audience, and breaking it up as much as possible. It still wasn't perfect, but then again, it never will be.

This was the last episode I did for a while, as I noticed the view count wasn't high enough to warrant the amount of effort I was putting in, and I realized that the show needed more ways for the audience to interact, and more things to break up the pacing. In other words, the show still needed work, so I went on hiatus again, and kept on working.

I agree, however, this episode was boring.
